Soon, I’m going to be playing in three different tabletop RPG games, with different groups of people and most importantly, with different characters. I’m going to give a rundown of all three in this post, including all the artwork I’ve been working on of each of them.
Without further ado, here are my character designs!
“Nix” / Soaring Phoenix of Burning Sands
Game Format: D&D
Species: Tabaxi (Sphynx variant)
Pronouns: she/her
Class: Grave Domain Cleric
Personality Keywords: independent, fierce, devout, loyal, stealthy, strong willed
Descriptive Keywords: feline, furless, green eyes, lavender skin, peach fuzz, curled ears, black eyeliner, red jumpsuit, decorative leather armour, heavy fabric layers, with pockets, gold holy symbol, pointy boots, warm cloak, decorative hat, cat-o-nine-tails weapon
Backstory:
> Early childhood, abandoned on the streets of a city in Setzair by parents (reason unknown)
> Only memento is bracelet of wooden beads with carved runes
> Became a proficient pickpocket to survive
> Befriended a Setzairan Desert Mouse, named her Desert Rose (Rosie)
> Late teens, attacked by a necromancer, stabbed in the heart as sacrifice
> Death interrupted by goddess, Natarat (a Tabaxi goddess of life and death, of the nine lives, of the natural cycle)
> Offered a new life as a cleric if she stopped thieving and followed Natarat
> Adult now, an adventurer travelling to different cities, ridding them of the undead and helping people
> Rosie is still travelling with her, not even old for a Setzairan Desert Mouse
> She will be played in a campaign set in a place of snow and ice where she’s cold all the time, so she bundles in many layers to keep warm

“Pari” / Lord Asimituuk Paritor

Backstory:
> Raised in a noble house, with private tutoring and ediquette training
> Childhood nickname “Poker” due to tendency to fight and jab at peers mimicking duelists
> Fell in love with fencing, dueling, rapiers as a weapon
> Once old enough, he set out to adventure and experience challenges in the real world
> Honed his ability to fight without seeing, by focusing on his other senses
> Is now a fiercesome combatant, heading into a high-level short campaign
> To help visualize him, I created him in Baldur’s Gate 3, hence some of the images being video game screenshots

Clay Williams

> More artwork and details to come

Those are my recent character designs! I’ve been having a lot of fun working on them, and I’ve enjoyed how they each are completely different types of characters. I’ve played a version of Nix in a past game, for a short time, but this is a new, updated version of the character with a lot of changes and updates. I’m excited to get back into playing games with my friends like this. It’s been quite a while since the last game I participated in, so I think this is going to be a lot of fun. And it’s an excuse to make some cool fantasy artwork of these different characters!
I hope you enjoyed this peek into my recent creations. If people are interested, I’ll continue to share as I make more artwork and writings of them all!
