I love cats, and realised I haven’t crocheted nearly enough of them! So I’ve decided to design a cute little cat, made all in one piece with no seams or sewing!

Materials
- Worsted Weight acrylic in any cat colour (I’m using brown for one and white for the second one)
- 3.5 mm hook
- Pair of 12 mm safety eyes in any colour (I’m using lavender and light blue)
- Stuffing
- Scrap of yarn or embroidery thread in pink (for nose)
- Scrap of yarn or embroidery thread in black (for mouth and eyelashes)(optional)
Abbreviations
MR = magic ring
Sc = single crochet
Inc = increase
Sc cluster = single crochet cluster. (Pick up a loop through st and yarn over, pull through first loop only) x4, yarn over and pull through all loops.
St(s) = stitch(es)
FLO = front loops only
BLO = back loops only
Esc = extended single crochet
Dc = double crochet
Picot = picot. Ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch.
Sl st = slip stitch
Joined dc = joined double crochet. Instead of yarn over to make first loop, pick up a loop through side of previous st, then complete dc like normal.
Rep = repeat
Dc cluster = double crochet cluster. (Yarn over and pick up a loop through st and yarn over, pull through first two loops) x5, yarn over and pull through all loops.
Rnd(s) = round(s)
Dec = invisible decrease
Steps
MR 6 sc.
- Inc, (sc cluster) x2 in next st, inc 4. (12)
- (Inc, sc 2) x3. (16)
- (Sc 3, inc) x4. (20)
- Sc 14, *in FLO work (sl st, esc, dc, picot) in next st, (joined dc, esc, sl st) in next st*, sc 2, rep * to *. (16 sc and 2 ears)
- Sc 14, BLO (inc, sc) behind ear, sc 2, BLO (sc, inc) behind ear. (22)
- Sc 4, (dc cluster) in next st, sc 3, (dc cluster) in next st, sc 13 (22)
- Sc 4 rnds of 22.
- Sc 4, (dc cluster) in next st, sc 4, (dc cluster) in next st, sc 12 (22)
- (Dec, sc 2) x4, dec, ch 10, sc 9 down ch, dec, sc 2. (16 sc and 1 tail)
- Attach safety eyes to face, between rnds 2 and 3, on either side of the snout.
- (Dec, sc) x5, sc. (11)
Fasten off. Stuff firmly and gather opening shut.
Stitch on nose and face details with pink and black, respectively. It’s also super cute with just the pink nose!
Now you’re all done! Give it a little squish to make sure it’s all shaped nicely, and enjoy your little round cat!
