I’ve taken a bit of a break from making plushies to do something a bit different. Firstly, I made a couple of new dice bags, because this yarn felt perfect for it and I love how they turned out! But secondly and more excitingly, I’ve started making travel games!

First, here are the dice bags that I mentioned. They each come with three full sets of polyhedral dice, and the drawstring is secured with a crocheted bolo (my favourite way of securing drawstring bags!) I love how this yarn looks for dice bags, it’s so vivid and sparkly while still being soft! The yarn I used was Lion Brand Shawl In A Ball, which is sadly discontinued now.

As far as travel games go, I have a bunch of ideas for different games and styles that are all drawn out in my notes, but for now I’ve made a couple of tic-tac-toe sets that I think are really cute. First there’s a breakfast themed one, with bacon and eggs for pieces and a skillet-inspired board.

And second, the one I just finished making last night, is citrus themed. The pieces are oranges and lemons, with a matching orange and yellow board.

I have lots of other ideas, for a bunch of things including checkers, memory matching, dominoes, and even a snail race! We’ll see just how many I actually end up making, but I have so many ideas! I’m feeling the inspiration flowing and it feels really good, so I’m going to run with it!
