Art Block and Artwork

For a while now, I’ve been feeling some art block. I haven’t made anything I enjoyed or considered a “finished artwork” in a long time, and whenever I would sit down to do some drawing I’d find myself deleting and starting over constantly. That is, until the other day, when I decided to ask my partner for an art prompt of two animals to combine. That idea finally got me out of my funk, and I made a ditigal painting that I think is quite cute!

The creatures I was combining were a badger and a bee, creating a honey badger! I used references of a European badger for the iconic striped face, and a bumble bee for the wings and fluffy stripes.

Hopefully, this will lead to a breakthrough of the art block and I’ll continue to make things I think are worth sharing with the world. Only time will tell, but I do think I’ll try to be more dedicated to making artwork every day to keep the creativity floating.
